I have a blog? Say what?!

*blows dust away*

Damn I forgot this thing was here!  Not really, but you know what I mean.

Today a loved one pointed out I haven't updated in 6 months and I realized I have been a very, very bad author!

So let's see, an update. Well crap! I don't know where I left off so let's just do some highlights of the last 6 months, shall we?

  • Talk to the Moon is now available at all ebook retailers, which I am super stoked about.  I've linked it for you of course.
  • Moon over the Bay released May 31st over on Amazon! It will hit other retailers the end of August.
  • Secrets of the Moon is almost finished!  Not sure the release date yet but soon!
  • I'm working on a book for Decadent Publishing's Beyond Fairytales line. Imagine a Grimm fairy tale but re-imagined and retold?  Cool right?!
I think that's it on the author front.

On the personal front it's been busy.  School starts on the 4th around here any my middle child is headed to kindergarten.  I am not sure how I feel about this.  That leaves the baby, who is 4 and not really a baby since she'll be in school next year, and the hubs home while I go back to work part time.  Crazy times I tell you!!

So other than being sick with envy over everyone being at the San Diego Comic Con this year because my bff and I weren't able to get badges, I've enjoyed a quiet summer.   In all honesty it's just too damn hot to do much hear except be in a pool.  Even then it's a danger because, hello sunburn!

But now it's back to getting everyone on a schedule and no more late mornings for me.  *cries*

Oh I gave up sugar and soda.   But we aren't going to talk about that.  Because that's just an awful idea, in case you were wondering.

So how is everyone else's summer going?  Everyone ready for school?  Can I see a raise of hands for cooler weather already?!

Stay cool!

Update and New Releases!

Hello people of the world!

Is everyone ready for Halloween? It's in just a few days.  When did that happen? I've got a few costume tweeks to make for the kiddies costumes and some touch ups for my own.  And since I know you were all wondering, yes I am wearing my Wonder Woman cosplay from SDCC.   So I'll be sure to post photos.

Now onto exciting news! I've finished some edits on my upcoming free read, Sunrise.  It'll be up on my publishers site for free! That's right F-R-E-E!  It'll be a nice little segue into my Moonlit Nights series. I think I'll post a little teaser next week and will give you release details as I get them.

Speaking of release my fellow BDP author, Elise Marion, has a new release today! The Groom is the sequel to My Ex Wife's Wedding.  I read the first book and am excited to read the second! Oh and Elise is super cool so you should check her out. Pick up that title for free, that's right another F-R-E-E read, at our publishers site Bottom Drawer Publications.  If you dig her free read, be sure to grab The Groom from the same site.  All formats are available from the publishers site.

Also in the news, it seems I'll be attempting NaNoWriMo next month.  For those of you that are unfamiliar with that it's National Novel Writing Month.   Basically a bunch of us people who like to write try to write as fast as possible in one month when we don't usually work that fast any other time. At least that's me.   So yeah.  I'll be posting more regular updates and using a word counter and all that awesome stuff.  If you're interested you should check out the NaNoWriMo site.  They have some cool sponsors and you get a few cool tools to help you write. There are forums, coaches and the whole program is full of really awesome cheerleaders.  If you sign up let me know and we can be buddies.

As always stay connected with me on Twitter, Faceback and here on my blog, links are on the right.

Have a safe Halloween!

A wee bit of exciting news!

Last weekend I had a little chat with my publisher about my upcoming series. Have I mentioned that? If not let me get you up to speed since we've made a few more decisions as of late.  And if so... well keep reading anyway!

So I have a 3 book series soon to be published by Bottom Drawer Publishing.  It's called The Moonlit Nights Series.

Book one is titled Talk to the Moon with Kyle Chase and Sadie Long as star crossed lovers. High school sweethearts who find each other again.  But can all be forgiven?

Book two is titled Moon Over the Bay, starring Nathan Chase, Kyle's best friend, and Jess Dempsey, Sadie's best friend. He doesn't want to be some rich girl's boy toy and she doesn't want to be anyone's sugar mama. Sometimes lust has a mind of it's own.

Book three is titled Secrets of the Moon, with Olivia Niccoli and Evan Stephens.  When a one night stand becomes something much more significant.  Can two strangers handle it?

Recently I completed a short story, 1.5 if you will, to accompany the series as a free read titled Rising of the Sun.  Here we meet a parent from other characters.  Miles Chase, Kyle's dad, and Katherine Niccoli, Olivia's mother, have a chance meeting when Kyle calls in a favor with his dad to attend a work event with his coworker, Katherine.  Little did they know that Miles and Katherine had met before during a weekend of vacation. Do the flames still burn like they did during that hot weekend in Mexico

Rising of the Sun is in my editors hands as we speak and she'll be whipping her red pen of pain, as I call it, all over it to make it awesome.  I've completed the first round edits on book one in the series, and have already submitted the second book.  My publisher and I had a really great conversation and decided to make the series New Adult.  Initially the plan was for Miles and Kat to be book three, but when the pub asked about New Adult I couldn't get the idea out of my head.   I had already had a little side story idea for Kat's daughter so we worked it out and I came up with shifting the daughter to book three and making the mature couple the free read.

The plan is to release the series 6 to 8 weeks apart.  I'm pretty excited about that.  Hopefully I'll have some more solid details soon like a release date and some covers!  Not gonna lie, I'm giddy to see the covers! As is gets closer to release I'll post about the inspirations for each book and the play lists also.  Music is important as one song was the brain child for book one. =)

In the meantime, check out my Pinterest for a peek at what I envision my characters.

Also, my publisher Bottom Drawer Publishing is having a birthday party on their site!  Discounted books and giveaways!  Check them out and some of the free reads and awesome authors they have over there.

Hope you all have a safe and happy Labor Day!
